Yogurt topped with caramelized pears with walnuts. The perfect way to start the day!
Ingredients
2 bosc pears
4-5 tbsp turbinado sugar (or other type)
2 tbsp coconut oil
handful chopped up walnuts
vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Dash of salt
Plain yogurt
Granola (optional)
Preparation
Chop up pears into small cubes.
To prep caramelized pears, heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a medium pan / pot on stovetop.
Cook for a few mins, adding sugar, spices, salt, walnuts, and vanilla extract.
Mix and cover. Let cook on low heat for about 10 mins. If appears dry, add water (just about 1/2 cup). Cut the heat off when pears are softened.
Prep bowl by adding yogurt, layering with granola, caramelized pears (repeat if needed).
