Cauliflower shawarma

About the Recipe

Air-fried cauli florets with shawarma spices


  1. 1/3 head of cauliflower (either pre-steamed or raw)

  2. 2 Tbsp shawarma spice mix; mix of smoked paprika, cloves, garlic, cumin, cinnamon, coriander

  3. 2 Tbsp tahini paste

  4. Juice of 1 lime or lemon

  5. Salt and pepper to taste

  6. Pickles and veggies of choice as a side or to top

  7. Pita bread or wrap of choice

  8. 2 Tbsp olive oil


You can steam the cauli florets beforehand or use them raw (frying time will vary accordingly).

Toss cauli florets with olive oil and shawarma spice in the basket of an air fryer.

Set to air fry at high for about 15 mins if steamed or 25 mins if raw (check halfway through, turn around and adjust temp or duration as needed).

Prep your tahini sauce by whisking tahini with lemon or lime juice and salt and pepper. You can add some cold water to further soften until desired consistency achieved.

Prep your pita bread by laying greens and/or pickles or choice.

Top with air fried cauli followed by tahini sauce.

Wrap and enjoy!
